Get ready for a varied week across Kansas as we transition from some lingering moisture to classic summer heat. If you’re planning outdoor activities, be sure to keep an eye on the forecast!

Thursday, July 17th: Expect some light rain tomorrow morning, particularly in the Wichita area, lasting until around 7:00 AM. Temperatures will be milder, with a high around 81°F and a low of 71°F. It’ll be a good day to get those indoor errands done before the sunshine returns.

Friday, July 18th & Saturday, July 19th: The clouds will begin to break up, ushering in partly cloudy skies. Temperatures will start to climb, reaching highs around 93°F both days. Overnight lows will be comfortable, around 74°F on Friday night and 75°F on Saturday night.

Sunday, July 20th – Wednesday, July 23rd: Prepare for a significant warm-up as sunny conditions dominate most of the week. Temperatures will steadily increase:

  • Sunday: High around 97°F, low around 76°F.
  • Monday: High around 97°F, low around 76°F.
  • Tuesday: While still mostly sunny, expect partly cloudy conditions. High around 97°F, low around 76°F.
  • Wednesday: Get ready for the heat! Temperatures could soar to 100°F, with a low around 76°F.

UV Index: The UV index will be moderate to high on sunny days, so remember to apply sunscreen, especially during peak daylight hours.

Overall Outlook: After a brief period of rain, Kansas will settle into a typical summer pattern of warm, sunny days. The end of the week will bring significant heat, so stay hydrated and take precautions if spending extended time outdoors.

Stay safe and enjoy the Kansas summer!
